Rowenta IS9070 Precision Valet Full Size Garment Steamer Review

Purchased the steamer for my wife based on feedback from others. It works very well, the only caveat is that it would appear that pressing pants will remain a job for an iron. The pants attachment seems too difficult to use.

Rowenta IS9100 Commercial Garment Steamer Review

Rowenta IS9100 Commercial Garment Steamer
Average Reviews:

I recently returned the Rowenta Pro Compact steamer in exchange for this "commercial" steamer.
It certainly is a big improvement. The extra 150 watts of steaming power makes a noticeable difference.
There are several features that make this a wonderful unit. The large 1 gallon water tank is clear and easy to remove and refill. The on/off switch and the automatic cord reel are both foot actuated. There are two onboard accessories bins that keep the attachments from disappearing. The steam is powerful, plentiful and literally rolling out in 60 seconds. Also, the unit is quite sturdy.
Unfortunately, there are a few design flaws and disappointing problems. The two large wheels do not roll on my hardwood floors nor on my carpet. Instead as you drag the machine it leaves a nice trail of marks on the floor. The telescoping handles are not secured into the base of the machine and pull out when you attempt to lift the machine. Also, this unit did not come with a handy plastic brush attachment that the cheaper unit did.
Having said all this, the Rowenta Precision Valet Steamer does a wonderful job of removing stubborn wrinkle quickly and easily.

The Sharper Image In-Home Professional Garment Steamer, Black Review

I used to have a Tobi Garment Steamer, but lost it during a power surge. I replaced it with the Sharper Image and I love this one so much more. The Tobi wasn't as sturdy and the stand would easily lower itself mid-steaming. The Sharper Image is sturdy, rolls easily, heats up quickly, holds a ton of water, and I love the blue light-up power button - it's easy to tell if you have turned it off.

Jiffy Steamer J-2 Garment Steamer Review

Jiffy Steamer J-2 Garment Steamer

I do alterations for a major bridal chain, and we use several different types of Jiffy steamers.
I decided to purchase this garment steamer to use on sewing projects and my clothing. It's fabulous. It heats up extremely quickly, and you can steam for several hours with it.
TIPS:
Make sure to use distilled water with the steamer to avoid mineral build up that can cause sputtering and discoloration of water. Also, I find that if you fold up cheesecloth into 3 layers and use a rubber band to hold it to the steam head, it will protect delicate fabrics and provide a more even steam flow.
If you are using this to steam something like a big heavy dress or curtains, please do yourself a favor and purchase a set of string knit gloves from a store like Harbor Freight to protect your hands. $6 to protect yourself from 2nd degree burns is better than a trip to the ER! (Trust me, I know, and it only takes a fraction of a second for a steam burn to happen!)
To sum up, this steamer is better than any junky plastic one marked "commercial" that you will find in a store. Jiffy Steamers are truly what people in the garment industry rely on. Very sturdy, quick heating, and better than ironing any day. You will not be disappointed!

Conair GS7R Compact Upright 1200-Watt Fabric Steamer Review

Conair GS7R Compact Upright 1200-Watt Fabric Steamer

First of all, I ordered this bad boy on Monday and received it on Thursday. With the super saver free shipping. It was amazingly fast.
I had a conair before I got this one. It finally gave in after 3 years. And I needed a new one.
This one is cheap and does what I need it too.
It starts steaming very quickly and gets the basic wrinkles out of my clothes for work.
It is not an iron and does not make anything look amazing crisp. But I never thought it would.
I just want to be able to take a shirt off of my floor that might not look too good and steam it out so it is wearable. That is exactly what this steamer does.
I love it and I can not live without one.

Jiffy Steamer J-2000 Residential Series 1300-Watt Garment Steamer Review

Jiffy Steamer J-2000 Residential Series 1300-Watt Garment Steamer
Average Reviews:

I'll make it simple: If you are looking for a home-edition garment steamer, your top 2 choices in the marketplace will likely be the Jiffy 2000 and the Rowenta 8100.
I tested both for 10 hours; on a 1 to 10 scale:
Jiffy (Looks = 6; Engineering = 10; Handling = 9; Craftsmanship = 10).
It looks like a mop bucket on wheels but it performs like a jet engine; every part of this machine from the plate at the bottom of the unit to the steam handle is built for rugged usage.
Rowenta (Looks = 10; Engineering = 5; Handling = 7; Crafsmanship = 4).
It looks like a UFO but performs like a Pinto with much less steaming power; it is built as a toddler's toy having most parts made with inexpensive plastic including the watertank base and valve: pull the machine a single foot OR tilt it a mere 1 inch and you will experience a slow-building cascade.
Buy the Rowenta 8100 as a decorative piece to make your closet look good.
Buy the Jiffy 2000 as a garment steamer to make your clothes look good.

Rowenta IS5100 Opti-Steam Garment Steamer Review

I"ve had this steamer less than one month when it began to malfunction. As soon as I take it off of the hook, it shuts off. This was the most money that I have ever paid for a clothes steamer. it is still under its 6-month warranty but I will have to travel 35 miles to a repair shop. While it is being repaired I will have to resort to an iron or other sources. I'm quite disappointed in this product.
