(More customer reviews)I bought this steamer for my boyfriend for Christmas since a 'dry-cleaner' type steam press was on his list. He tried it and was very disapointed. I researched quite a number of steamers like it and this one had the biggest surface area and had some good customer reviews but it didn't live up to them. The area was still too small and could only steam about the width of a sleeve. I was disapointed that we had to return it but it really wasn't up to par. I would not recommend this product.

(More customer reviews)This product is really hard to find in the stores and I don't know why. I guess nobody does their own ironing anymore. Always before, if your iron got dirty, which they do sometimes in the middle of ironing, you had to stop ironing, cool down the iron, clean it, iron a rag to make sure all the gunk was out and heat up the iron again. With this hot iron cleaner, You grab an old towel, squirt a little on it, and iron. The dirt comes right off on the towel, and you can go back to ironing. Love this stuff!

Home Touch PS-200 Perfect Steam Commercial Garment Steamer Review

(More customer reviews)(Updating my review after 6 mos of use.) I've found the Homemedics PS-200 "Perfect Steam" has been fine for all types of clothing. This is the smallest, value-priced model, so I wouldn't expect it have enough steam for thick upholstery or to press creases and folds (It's upright. Commercial steamers don't do this either without a flat surface! They're for removing wrinkles- not pressing clothes.) I bought it to use instead of a steam iron- and for the same price, it's faster and easier. It has worked for denim jeans, suits, blankets, wrinkled khakis and dress shirts. Read the manual for tips- it helps to have the pole all the way up. When the hose starts to gurgle, water is condensing in the hose. Just hold the hose straight up and let the water drip back into the tank. The manual says this is normal and the condensation does not affect the steam. I find it's ready in 15 seconds! Also, steam runs consistently when the clothing is hung higher than the pole- meaning I have to hang clothing from the top of a door frame or shower rod. The hose is long enough to reach but (obviously) the pole could have been made to extend a foot taller, but I'm sure it would have made the unit too unstable (tip over more easily with added height) - it's a very lightweight unit with a small base. It's small enough to fit inside my tiny closet. Distilled water is a must in Colorado. The water does need to be emptied out after each use or else mildew/mold will form. You may have to lift and tip the unit over a sink and shake the hose to completely empty. I was expecting much less for the price and was pleasantly surprised.

Faultless 40105 Hot Iron Cleaner - 2 Pack Review

My son completely melted a shirt to my iron (or is it the other way around??) and no matter what i tried, the sticky goo would not come off. I looked in every store imaginable trying to find something to clean it and could not find anything worthy of this mess. Finally, i saw this product and remembered the brand name from when my granny used to use the Faultless spray starch whenever she ironed. I wasn't hoping for much when i received this itsy bitsy tube but i have to admit i was absolutely impressed with the way this stuff just dissolved the sticky, gooey mess on my iron. Now it looks and irons just like a brand new one. I have even reordered just to keep it on hand since the little devils are so hard to find. I highly suggest it for all the little 'oops' you can have with just 2 seconds too long with the iron on delicate clothes. It's either that, or iron my son's clothes myself and that alone makes this item priceless.
