I sew quite a bit and ironing large pieces of fabric can be VERY tedious, so after owning several Rowenta irons (their top of the line) I decided to give this one a try and all I can say is wow!It generates an incredible amount of steam and cuts ironing time way down as well as doing a much better job of removing wrinkles from the fabric. Even if you don't sew it is worth the investment if you would prefer to remove wrinkles from your clothing in one pass as opposed to going over the fabric several times and still getting inferior results.

Ironing no longer has to be a time-consuming task thanks to this professional-quality iron. The unit quickly sends dry steam into fabric fibers using a pressurized system that makes it possible to smooth out wrinkles and press in neat-looking creases in half the time. Plus, with the iron's electronic CSS (Continuous Steam System) technology, there's no need to stop and re-start due to an empty water tank. Simply refill the removable 2-3/4-cup water tank as needed while continuing to iron pants, shirts, linens, and more. The unit comes with an easy-to-use panel for versatile fingertip control. Functions include a knob to control the amount of steam needed for the task and power switches for the boiler and iron. It also provides a low-water indicator that shows when it's time to refill the tank, a power on/off indicator light, and a unique anti-calc warning system that indicates when the steam tank needs to be cleaned. In a few short steps, the water-hardness level can be determined and programmed into the unit, so when it's time to clean, the iron will automatically beep (litmus paper and de-scaling powder included). Other highlights include an aluminum sole plate with steam holes at the tip, automatic boiler shut-off for safety, a heat-resistant cork handle, and a locking mechanism for the steam-activation button, which allows for using the iron as a fabric steamer (vertical steaming). The ETL-approved 1450-watt ironing system measures approximately 14 by 10-1/2 by 10 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.
