(More customer reviews)Well, I purchased this steam cleaner at Walgreen for around $30.
I was very skeptical that it would work - that is have enough steam and pressure to do anything. I am use to restaurant quality steam sprayers for cleaning that have a lot of super hot steam output and would just melt grease, dirty, grime without any scrubbing or cleaner needed. The Perfection Steam Cleaner(PSC) does not do the same as the $1,200 commercial. But for $30 it works enough to do the job. In most cases; you will have to use bartender's helper or Soft Scrub along with the PSC to complete the job on the kitchen stove top or sink. Baked on oven grime cannot be cleaned with the PSC no matter how much steam you apply at the baked on grime - just not hot enough to dissolve it. PSC cleans very nicely on toilets and bathroom sinks however. Title grout you need a toothbush and some soft scrub. It makes cleanup fun and much more sanitary. I used it on my razor and my toothbrush. Good job on mirrors and general formica.
I was surprised at the number of paper towels that I went through. A whole roll for two bathrooms. Another roll for the kitchen. But you get at the end; a very clean and sparkling room.
It does heat up fast like 3-4 minutes and puts out steam. Using the extended hose; you need to keep the PSC above the hose to get full steam output. The short spout is what I used as picture normally now. It does go through a cycle where it does go crazy with high pressure steam output for like 1 minute and then goes back to the normal flow the rest of the time. The 1 minute out is supercharged and you should use it when it does it on the toughest tasks. You don't know when it will occur however.
You have about 6 ozs of water making about 5 minutes of steam - continuation. You can load it after unplugging it and replug. It heats up in 2 minutes time and you are sent to do the steaming again. In practice this should last you about 15 minutes since most your time will be spend wiping off the dirt.
Compare to the commercial steamer; it does not output the super hot steam with heavy pressure. Commercial is maybe 4-6 times hotter and a lot more pressure behind it like 100 times! It like a spray washer output with force behind it.
In summary, you cannot go wrong with this purchase for $30. It is worth the price. Make cleaning sanitary and helps loosen grime.
